From the first call
to dry.
Call
Tell us what happened. We tell you what to do right now, and when we will be there.
Assess
We find the source, measure the moisture and photograph everything. You get a plan in plain English and a free estimate.
Dry & clean
Commercial drying equipment runs until the readings say dry, not just the surface. Every reading goes to your adjuster.
Restore
Drywall, floors, paint and trim, rebuilt by one team. We walk it with you before we call it done.
Before we get there
What happened?
Choose one and we’ll tell you what to do right now.
Stay safe
Keep out of standing water near outlets, appliances or the breaker panel. Don’t touch anything electrical.
Stop the water
Shut off the main water valve if you can reach it safely. It’s usually where the line enters the house, often in the basement.
Lift what you can
Move rugs, electronics and valuables off wet floors. Put foil or wood blocks under furniture legs.
Photograph everything
Take photos and video before anything is moved or thrown away. Your insurer will ask for them.
AvoidUsing a household vacuum on water, or turning on ceiling lights if the ceiling is wet.
Wait for the all-clear
Don’t go back inside until the fire department says it’s safe.
Leave the soot
Wiping or scrubbing smears soot deeper into walls and fabric. Leave it for us.
Keep the heat and air off
Running the furnace or air conditioning spreads smoke and soot through the whole house.
Keep receipts
Photograph the damage, and keep receipts for a hotel, meals and emergency costs. Many policies cover them.
AvoidEating or drinking anything that was near the heat, smoke or water.
Leave it alone
Don’t scrub, scrape or brush it. Disturbing mold sends spores into the air.
Find the moisture
Mold means water. If you can see a leak, stop it or shut off the water to that fixture.
Close it off
Keep the door to the room shut, and keep fans from blowing across it.
Protect the vulnerable
Keep anyone with asthma, allergies or a weak immune system away from the area.
AvoidPainting over it or covering it up. It keeps growing underneath.
Stay clear of wires
Treat every fallen line as live. Keep well away and report it to your power company.
Cover openings, if safe
A tarp or plastic sheeting over a broken window keeps more rain out. Never climb onto a wet or damaged roof.
Photograph the damage
Inside and out, before any cleanup. Your insurer will ask for it.
Keep receipts
Tarps, boards and other emergency repairs are often part of the claim.
AvoidGoing into a flooded basement while the power may still be on.
Then call (313) 995-4670. We’ll talk you through the rest and come out right away.
